EPT Barcelona Main Event Gets Underway
One of the most prestigious stops on the European poker calendar is kicking off, as the EPT Barcelona Main Event prepares to deal its opening hand. With a world-class field expected to descend on the Casino Barcelona, all eyes are on which players will emerge from a typically deep and competitive field.
The Pick 3 Angle
Ahead of the first cards in the air, PokerOrg is putting the community to work with a Pick 3 challenge — asking fans and followers to name the three players they believe will go deepest in the tournament. It's a fun way to engage with the action if you're watching from the rail, and it shines a spotlight on some of the most compelling storylines heading into the event.
Why EPT Barcelona Matters
EPT Barcelona has a long history of producing memorable final tables, and the stop consistently draws a strong mix of:
- Seasoned European regulars who know the venue and the field dynamics well
- High-profile international names making the trip for one of the summer's marquee events
- Emerging tournament players looking to break through on a big stage
The Main Event format rewards sustained excellence over multiple long days of play, making it a genuine test of skill, stamina, and adaptability — the kind of tournament that tends to surface the most well-rounded competitors.
FeltIQ Take
Events like EPT Barcelona are a great reminder of just how global the tournament poker circuit has become. The Pick 3 format is a low-stakes way for the community to stay engaged with live coverage — and with a field of this caliber, predicting three players who all go deep is genuinely tricky. Expect plenty of debate in the comments.
